(59) As The Crow Flies

As the crow flies,
the shortest route from one place to another,
how opposite we are,
taking turns and obstacles,
creating them if they do not exist,
as all that might be needed,
would be a straight and forward line,
as so much distress and hardship,
could be avoided with a simple word,
how we compare to simple creatures,
and call ourselves reasoning beings,
yet in all simplicity,
we fail to even comprehend,
too high and mighty in ourselves,
not taking lesson from what is around,
as the crow flies,
directly following its choice,
it knows no other way.
